Looking for SEN Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistants interested in working flexibly throughout the week.
We are happy to be working in partnership with a number of a SEN (Special Education Needs) schools in the Sudbury area who are currently looking for SEN Learning Support Assistants to join their team immediately on an ad hoc basis (often 2 to 5 days per week).
We are looking for candidates with excellent communication, literacy and numeracy skills, with the competency to manage very challenging and extreme behaviour, including the ability to work 1:1 and with small groups. You must have recent child based experience and be confident working with SEN students.
As a SEN Learning Support Assistant you will work with a range of ages across all Key Stages and your duties will depend on the age of the children and their individual needs, but may include:
- gaining the trust of the young people in your class & building rapport
- adapting support according to needs of the young person
- looking after children’s physical, social and emotional welfare
- creating a stimulating and engaging environment
