Job Description

Join a growing, well-invested business in Tewkesbury and become part of a busy, fast-paced warehouse team. We are looking for a proactive Warehouse Stores Operative to support goods in, goods out and stock management activities within a manufacturing environment.

This hands-on temporary position is ideal for someone with strong warehouse and stores experience, excellent stock control skills and a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence. You will play a key role in ensuring materials are received, stored, issued and dispatched accurately while maintaining high standards of organisation, safety and efficiency throughout the warehouse operation.

Role and Responsibilities

• Operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently.
• Manage goods in and goods out activities.
• Receive, check and accurately book stock into the warehouse.
• Pick, prepare and dispatch orders in line with business requirements.
• Ensure stock is issued accurately and on time.
• Maintain precise stock records using internal systems.
• Carry out regular stock checks and assist with stock take activities.
• Correctly code, label and track all materials.
• Load and unload deliveries safely.
• Prepare goods for dispatch and collection.
• Ensure warehouse locations are organised and maintained effectively.
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures and warehouse best practices.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards and support 5S activities.
• Identify stock discrepancies and report issues promptly.
• Support wider warehouse and operational activities as required.
  
  

About You

• Previous warehouse or stores experience with a strong focus on goods in and goods out.
• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence is essential.
• Ideally experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Good stock management and inventory control experience.
• Comfortable working within a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience using warehouse stock control systems.
• Good IT skills and confidence using internal systems.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Able to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Flexible and willing to support different areas of the warehouse when required.
