Production Operative  

Pertemps are working with an established Manufacturing business based in Southampton who are recruiting for a Production Operative to join their team. This is a full time, permanent position.

Responsibilities as a Production Operative: 

• Assemble conventional and SMT circuit boards in accordance with build instructions, specifications and quality standards.
  
  
• Undertake cable and wiring assembly using Hand soldered and Hand crimped terminations to required standards.
  
  
• Build finished products and sub-assemblies from components in line with production documentation, drawings and works instructions.
  
  
• Carry out fault identification, rework and repair of assemblies affected by defects or non-conformances.
  
  
• Complete in-process inspection checks and maintain accurate production records.
  
  

Requirements:

• Previous experience in electronics manufacturing or assembly 
  
  
• Ability to understand product build requirements and read technical drawings 
  
  
• Good manual dexterity and hand – eye coordination 
  
  
• Hand soldering and crimping experience 
  
  
• Excellent eye for detail 
  
  

The Production Operative role:

• Salary of £26,227 - £30,000 depending on experience
  
  
• Monday – Friday 7.30am – 4pm 
  
  
• 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays (rising up to 25 days with length of service)
