Ready to take your freight forwarding career to the next level?

Pertemps is working with a highly respected logistics provider to find a driven, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Freight Administrator to join their growing team. In this exciting, fast-paced role, you’ll manage international air, ocean, and road freight – making sure shipments reach their destinations smoothly, efficiently, and often under strict temperature control.
If you love the buzz of global logistics, thrive on problem-solving, and want to work with like-minded professionals in a friendly, high-performing team – this could be your next big career move.

What You’ll Be Doing as a Freight Administrator:
  • Handling end-to-end freight forwarding operations (air, sea & road) – from quoting to delivery
  • Completing all necessary import/export documentation (HAWBs, MAWBs, IATA, HMRC, etc.)
  • Supporting temperature-sensitive GDP-compliant pharmaceutical shipments
  • Providing customers with competitive freight quotes and top-notch service
  • Coordinating with hauliers, couriers, and global partners to arrange collections and deliveries
  • Negotiating rates with suppliers and ensuring cost-effective solutions
  • Managing invoicing, supplier bills, and keeping shipments running smoothly
  • Maintaining key stock like air/ocean waybills and documentation
What You Bring to the Table: Must-Haves:
  • Experience in freight forwarding/logistics operations – especially multi-modal transport
  • Strong understanding of customs processes, inward/outward processing reliefs, and international documentation
  • Familiarity with HAWBs/MAWBs, IATA regulations, and GDP standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ASM, CHIEF/NCTS systems
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to customer service
  • Able to work independently, adapt quickly, and thrive in a fast-paced team
  • Flexibility to support shift work and occasional on-call needs
Desirable (but not essential – we can train you):
  • Dangerous Goods certification
  • Experience with Letters of Credit
Why This Role?
  • Join a team with a great reputation in the global logistics and pharma sector
  • Work in a fast-paced environment where every day brings something new
  • Be part of a company that invests in your training and development
  • Build a rewarding career with long-term potential

This is a full time, office based role. Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm, £25,000 - £30,000 DOE.
