Finance Assistant - Expenditure

About the RoleThis is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for finance. You’ll play a key role in managing expenditure processes, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring financial accuracy across multiple cost centres.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of selected cost centres and balance sheet codes
- Post and evidence monthly accruals, prepayments, and journals
- Analyse costs versus budgets and report key variances
- Process company expenses and credit card transactions
- Code expenditure invoices via a data capture system
- Conduct aged creditor reviews and supplier statement reconciliations
- Support budgeting and reforecasting activities
- Contribute to month-end and year-end deadlines
- Handle ad hoc finance tasks as needed
What We’re Looking For
- AAT qualification (or equivalent) preferred
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- High level of accuracy and organisational ability
- Proficiency in Excel (intermediate to advanced)
