Looking for a Maintenance role with a great work-life balance?

We're recruiting for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business in Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity to work Monday to Friday with no shift work, supporting modern production equipment within a stable and growing organisation.

Practical experience is just as important as formal qualifications for this role.

If you have strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills and experience maintaining machinery in a manufacturing or production environment, we'd love to hear from you. Relevant qualifications are beneficial, but hands-on experience is equally valued.

You'll play a key role in keeping production running efficiently through planned maintenance, fault finding and continuous improvement projects.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across production equipment

    • Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults

    • Responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime

    • Assisting with machinery upgrades, installations and modifications

    • Supporting continuous improvement activities to improve reliability and efficiency

    • Working closely with production teams to maximise machine performance

    • Managing critical spare parts and liaising with specialist contractors when required

    • Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures

What We're Looking For

  • Practical experience in a Maintenance Engineer, Multi-Skilled Engineer, Maintenance Technician or similar role

    • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding ability

    • Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment

    • Knowledge of 240V electrical systems

    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

    • Understanding of planned preventative maintenance (PPM)

    • An NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification would be beneficial, but relevant hands-on experience will also be considered

Desirable

  • Three-phase electrical experience

    • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification

✅ Monday–Friday days only (8:30am–5:00pm)

✅ Stable and growing manufacturing business
