Job Description

We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our wholesale market services department which facilitates the delivery of our business's new market obligations. We enable the sale of services to all companies licensed to operate in the water markets, this equates to over £400m of revenue that is managed within the team. As well as managing approximately £40m of risk associated with market compliance.

What you’ll be doing as a Senior Data Analyst:
 As a Wholesale Market Senior Data Analyst, you'll lead a small team in monitoring, analysing, and reporting on data flow between internal systems and the open water market. Your role will involve identifying issues, driving resolutions, and spearheading efforts to enhance efficiency and automation. You'll play a vital role in maintaining market transactional integrity and providing essential support to our business customers.
  • Ensure market transactional integrity through process and system improvements.
  • Lead proactive monitoring and resolution of data issues.
  • Drive automation initiatives to increase efficiency.
  • Provide expert advice and insights to inform operational decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve problems and drive improvements.
  • Conduct data analysis, modelling, and forecasting to support operational decisions.
Base Location: Reading /Hybrid, (based at office at least once a month)
Working Pattern or hours: 36 hours

What you should bring to the role
  • Experience in a similar role, with solid working knowledge in Transactional SQL.
  • Identify issues within data flow and market transactions, driving timely resolutions.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to implement innovative solutions and optimise workflows.
  • Good understanding of the UK water or Utilities industry would be beneficial.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to translate technical language into understandable terms.
  • Experience with Microsoft T-SQL and data manipulation in Infosphere is a plus.

  • Offering between £50,000 - £55,000 per annum dependent on experience
