Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity. To Join Thames Water as a Project Support Technician.
Covering the Thames Valley Region based out of the Bourne End site, this role requires a highly flexible individual with core hours from Monday to Friday from 07:30 – 15:36 which are currently under review.
You will have a pivotal role in the support of the mains upgrade program within the Thames Valley region. You will also support teams on pressure management where required.
What you’ll be doing as a Project Support Technician.
  • As a Project Support Technician, you will support the Mains Upgrade Program within the Thames Valley Region.
  • support reactive requests from our network colleagues, where possible.
  • support the Completion of checking key High Consequence Valves and High-Risk Valves to ensure our Business maintains business compliance.
  • All works completed will involve compliance with water quality and ensuring a clear understanding of supply interruption. 
  • demonstrate the Thames Water values and behaviours in day-to-day work collaborations.
  • ensuring that health and safety are always adhered to.
  • To be able to work as part of a highly organised team and to work well individually.
What you should bring to the role
  • Ideally have clean water network knowledge and understanding as well as a clear ability to demonstrate the ability to undertake these key roles.
  • Have a clear understanding of the Permit to Work system.
  • As the role involves driving to multiple sites, you must be a confident driver, as well as holding a full, UK driving licence.
  • To have a network understanding of who can carry out the key roles and responsibilities as noted above.
  • To work on your own as well as within a small team.
  • Ideally hold current certifications that cover Water Hygiene, NRSW unit 2, disinfection, sampling, flushing, valve operations, CALM and the current Licence to Operate. (LTO)

  • Offering a starting from £25,120 per annum depending on experience and skills.
  • 24 days holiday per year, increasing to 28 with the length of service. (Plus bank holidays).
