We have a great opportunity available in Birmingham for a Credit Controller to join our client's team on a permanent basis. For individuals with previous credit control experience aiming to advance their careers, this chance provides an excellent opportunity to join a reputable company.
 
This position requires being in the office 3 days per week.

Responsibilities of the Credit Controller will include, but will not be limited to:
  • Manages debt collection for company debtors, including proactive measures
  • Maintains customer ledgers, handling communications and resolutions
  • Conducts credit checks and reviews credit limits for customers
  • Prepares month-end closures, including balance sheet reconciliations and journal postings
  • Performs bank and PayPal account reconciliations
  • Manages control account reconciliations, profit/loss analysis, and balance sheet assessments
  • Assists internal stakeholders with account payment queries and resolutions
  • Issues monthly customer statements and posts daily cash receipts
  • Supports finance goals by performing additional duties as needed
  • Assists finance controller in preparation for year-end audits
 
The successful Credit Controller will require the following skills and experience:
  • 3 years of experience in a Credit Controller role, adept at comprehending, interpreting, and effectively communicating complex accounts and financial reports
  • Hold GCSE or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths
  • Proficient in Excel, including V-look ups, pivot tables, etc., at an intermediate level
  • Skilled in utilising Office 365 platforms competently
  • Demonstrate excellent numeracy skills
  • A Bachelor’s degree in business management or a related field is desirable
