Financial Accountant - Hybrid

Sheridan Maine is partnering with a dynamic property developer based in Central London to find a talented Financial Accountant. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to join a thriving organisation in the heart of the capital.
 
As a Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in the finance team, contributing to the accurate reporting and analysis of financial data.  

Your work schedule will consist of a hybrid arrangement, with three days spent in the office and two days working remotely from home.
 
Your responsibilities as Financial Accountant will include:

• Assist Group Financial Reporting Manager in producing consolidated reports, including Annual Report and half-year documents, and interact with auditors.
• Support day-to-day accounting, including treasury activities and preparation of subsidiary accounts.
• Process banking transactions, ensure timely recharges, and support quarterly Group consolidation process.
• Responsibility for maintaining finance systems data with other team members as well as the Head of Finance Transformation, ensuring the impacts of new coding and changes to structure are understood and implemented on a timely basis.
• Provide auditors with the necessary information to enable finance systems review to be completed and follow up on any issues arising.
• Act as a key point of contact in relation to the Group consolidation system, providing guidance and training where required.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Along with colleagues in the tax department, co-lead the group’s ongoing rationalisation project by identifying and actioning subsidiaries which can be cleared down and struck off.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.

 
To be considered for the role of Financial Accountant:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Strong technical accounting skills and understanding of financial principles.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
