Private Client Tax Senior Manager / Director (Accountancy Practice)

Sheridan Maine is delighted to be partnering with a respected and well-established accountancy firm that has built a strong reputation, particularly within Tax.  Due to continued growth and increasing client demand, the firm is now seeking to appoint an experienced Private Client Tax Senior Manager or Director to join its award-winning team in the Midlands, close to Coventry.
 
This is a pivotal hire, offering the opportunity to play a key role in the firm’s Private Client Tax function and to shape its future growth.
 
As a Private Client Tax Senior Manager or Director, you will:

• Lead and manage a diverse portfolio of private clients, providing expert advice on a range of complex tax matters.
• Deliver strategic tax planning and advisory services, covering areas such as inheritance planning, trusts, estate management, international tax considerations, and capital gains.
• Oversee compliance requirements where needed, whilst focusing primarily on advisory-led work.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, driving business development opportunities.
• Support, mentor, and guide junior team members, sharing technical expertise.
• Play an integral role in succession planning, with a clear pathway to Partnership available for the right individual.

 
To succeed in the role of Private Client Tax Senior Manager or Director:

• CTA qualified preferred or significant relevant experience will be considered.
• Strong experience in Private Client Tax with a focus on IHT, Trusts, CGT, and international issues (Non-Dom / Non-Res).
• Proven track record of delivering high-level advisory services.
• Strong client relationship skills and the ability to identify and pursue business development opportunities.
• Leadership experience, with a desire to mentor and develop colleagues.
• Ambitious, commercially minded, and looking for a long-term career move with Partner potential.
