Job Description

We are working with a highly respected, values-driven organisation looking for an experienced senior finance professional / Head of Finance to lead the financial operations for one of their key business areas.

You’ll be joining a collaborative and well-established senior finance team, taking ownership of a large, high-performing team and becoming a key voice in strategic planning, forecasting, and reporting. This role goes far beyond month end, it's about using your insight and leadership to drive better decision making, shape long-term plans, and support the organisation through continued growth and change.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Leading and developing the Finance team, ensuring accuracy, pace, and high performance across all reporting, budgeting, and planning cycles.
  • Acting as a true business partner to senior operational leaders, translating numbers into actionable insights and supporting robust commercial decisions.
  • Taking the lead on financial integration for new acquisitions within the division, ensuring alignment with group policies and maximising operational efficiencies.
  • Managing all aspects of budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning for the business area, including presenting to senior stakeholders and contributing to wider group strategy.
  • Driving improvements across systems, processes, and reporting, championing a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Playing a key role in the preparation of statutory accounts and supporting audit processes in partnership with the Financial Accounting team.

About you:
  • A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience, ideally within a complex, multi-entity environment.
  • A confident people leader with experience managing, developing, and motivating high-performing finance teams.
  • Commercially astute with a clear track record of business partnering, budgeting, and strategic planning at a senior level.
  • Someone who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments and enjoys rolling up their sleeves to drive change and improvement.
  • Exceptional communicator, you can present complex financial information clearly and confidently to non-financial stakeholders.

Why apply?
This is a genuinely exciting time to join the business. You’ll have the autonomy to shape your function, the support of a strong senior team, and the opportunity to influence high-level strategy in an organisation that values innovation, integrity, and impact.

If you're looking for a leadership role where you can bring fresh ideas, drive change, and be part of something purposeful, we’d love to hear from you.

You are required to be eligible to work in the UK full time without restriction.

Due to the high volume of applications we receive it is not always possible to respond to unsuccessful applicants. Therefore, if we have not responded to your application within five days, please assume that on this occasion your application has not been successful.
