As an Audit & Accounts Senior, you will work closely with a range of clients, taking responsibility for accounts preparation and supporting the delivery of audit assignments.
Your responsibilities as an Audit & Accounts Senior will include:
- Preparing year-end statutory accounts for a range of clients
- Preparing management accounts and financial information
- Planning and carrying out audit assignments
- Completing audit fieldwork and documenting audit evidence
- Preparing corporation tax computations and returns
- Supporting the preparation of personal tax returns where required
- Reviewing accounts and audit work prepared by more junior members of the team
- Liaising directly with clients and responding to queries
- Identifying areas for improvement and providing commercially focused advice
- Supporting junior team members with their development
- Managing your workload effectively to meet client and statutory deadlines
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience within an accountancy practice
- Strong accounts preparation experience
- Previous audit experience
- Good knowledge of UK accounting standards and relevant legislation
- Experience preparing corporation tax computations
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Good communication and client relationship skills
- The ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
- AAT qualified or part-qualified ACA/ACCA, or equivalent experience
