Senior Management Accountant

Reporting to the Financial Controller of Retail, Digital & Group Services, you will join a friendly, talented team of professionals, responsible for performing general accounting functions in addition to the communication and promotion of financial position, insight, governance and control within the business. 

This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract

What you will be doing as a Management Accountant

• Support the recording, reconciliation and analysis of accounting activities and period end close activities in accordance with agreed close schedules and timetables.
• Provide Insight into results during period end close to the FP&A and Business Partner teams, relating to the key cost drivers.
• Production and preparation of audited financial information and technical accounting papers in accordance with accounting standards and support on year-end audit.
• Working across the wider finance team to document, align and improve processes, to drive efficiency and consistency.
• Production and preparation to support the regulatory accounting returns, including monitoring of external reporting requirements and researching accounting issues.
• Respond to ad hoc requests for analytics, through the agreed demand management framework to provide support to Business Partners for costs visibility, business case preparation and investigation into financial performance.

What you should bring to the role

• A qualified CIMA/ACCA or ACA Accountant, ideally with experience of working for a large organisation either in Practice or Industry
• Ability to effectively prioritise multiple projects to meet deadlines and produce high quality work in a fast‑paced environment
• Be able to work well as part of a team but also take ownership to complete tasks independently
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interrogate data and build good relationships with stakeholders
