General Labourer

Our client is a local supplier and installer of renewable energy systems including ground source and air source heat pumps along with solar panel installations into domestic properties around Crawley, Horsham, Guildford, Worthing and Haywards Heath areas mainly.

Due to continued growth and success, they are looking to take on someone to join their busy install team.

Going out with one or two senior engineers, you will get involved in all aspects of energy installations from excavating holes for the ground source pumps, to running pipes and plumbing, removing roof tiles and affixing solar panels to houses through to running electrical wiring and connection take power to or from the apparatus..

Being a skilled tradesman is not an essential attribute (although having a trade, or experience of a trade will be beneficial), but having a practical mindset along with some general ability to run cables, connect pipes, assemble timber frameworks and experience of working with basic tools and power tools will be a fundamental requirement. Full clean driving license will be also of benefit, but not essential.

Due to the nature of the products the majority of your work will be outside and on rooftops (with all appropriate equipment), so a resilient nature and not being afraid of working at height are needed..

Positive attitude, flexible and open minded approach to the variety of tasks expected of you and a polite, courteous, customer facing manner are all key.

This will be an ideal opportunity for a semi-skilled operative to learn about every aspect of renewable energy installations and gain experience in becoming a skilled installer.

Hours are 8.30 - 5.00pm Monday to Friday with a competitive salary reflecting your skills and previous experience.
