Job Description
We are looking for a Network Service Technician to join Thames Water on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is an exciting and varied customer facing role where day to day you will be resolving customer network challenges to ensure minimal disruption to customer supply. You will be supporting with a variety of projects, ensuring the best service is given to our customers, helping with anything from pressure issues to emergency repairs.
Base Location: Highworth – SN6 7NA, travel to other Thames Valley sites required
Hours: 38 hours per week, plus rota (1 in 8 late shifts & standby rota)

What you will be doing as a Network Service Technician
- Operating and isolating water mains for planned or emergency works
- Owning and resolving customer queries and complaints at their homes or places of work
- Supporting project work and leakage detection activities
- Investigating and resolving network performance issues
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures and water quality standards
- Full UK licence as travelling between sites will be required; a company van will be provided
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- An enthusiastic, can-do attitude
- Confidence at completing hands-on tasks independently to the best of your ability
- Strong IT skills
- Basic knowledge of domestic plumbing or water mains/leakage would be desirable
- Starting salary of £29,000 per annum plus additional standby payments
- Annual Leave – 24 days holiday per year, increasing to 28 days, and a wider benefits scheme
