Overview of Estate Services Support Officer:

Pertemps is excited to offer an opportunity within Harrow Council for a self-driven and motivated Estate Services Support Officer to join our expanding team. The role of the Estate Services Support Officer comes with a competitive pay rate ranging from £15.39 per hour (PAYE). In addition to the hourly rate, we provide excellent training and support for career development, along with 21 days of holiday (excluding Bank Holidays).

As an Estate Services Support Officer, your primary responsibility will be to contribute to the positive transformation of housing estates. You'll play a crucial role in maintaining diverse and cohesive communities within these estates. This involves supporting community activities, ensuring excellent living conditions, and managing essential services.

Key Responsibilities:

Community Support:
" Promote and manage community halls across the borough, fostering engagement and cohesion.
" Assist in organizing community events and activities.
Caretaking and Ancillary Services:
" Collaborate with the Operations Manager and estates services teams to maintain an outstanding living environment.
" Administer procurement processes for goods and services within the community and environment team.
" Implement systems to verify goods and services before processing payments, including meter readings for utilities.
" Reconcile invoices and manage payment procedures.
The successful candidate will possess the following:

Knowledge:
"Familiarity with housing and related public sector legislation.
"Basic understanding of repairs and maintenance issues related to homes and estates.
"Awareness of welfare benefits.
"Sensitivity to the needs of minority groups and potential barriers they may face.
"Previous work in a diverse and community-oriented environment.
