Job Description
Location: Malvern
Working hours: 07:45 – 16:30, Monday – Thursday and 07:45 – 15:00 on Friday.
Pay rate: £12 - £12.30 / hour
Contract type: Temp to Perm
A Manufacturing company based in Malvern are searching for a Stores Person to join their team on a temp to perm basis working on a day shift, 39 hours per week. The company themselves have been in their industry for over 25 years.
MAIN TASK & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide a quick, polite and helpful response to in-coming deliveries.
- Take receipt of, check, book-in and allocate deliveries to stock; highlighting any discrepancies, errors or quality issues to the Purchasing team. File delivery note paperwork.
- Pick and deliver components for Production personnel as instructed; move stock to various production areas as required (including sheet metal).
- Assist with stock-taking, liaising with Purchasing on any low stocks or slow-moving items.
- Make up spares (minor assembly work) for outbound customer orders, including label-printing.
- Pack / prepare goods to be despatched, including on-loading palleted goods and using courier software.
- Ensure Goods-in/Goods-out areas and yard are clean and tidy; components are maintained in an orderly, well-kept and accessible manner.
- Must have current counter-balance FLT license and previous stores/warehouse experience.
- Presentable, polite, helpful and able to keep calm under stress.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A good level of physical strength and fitness is necessary to meet the requirements and demands of the role.
- Methodical, with attention to detail.
- Ability to self-motivate and work as part of a small team.
- Capable of working with Microsoft Office and other software.
- Maths and English GCSE grade C minimum (or equivalent).
