Over time the company has expanded organically and through acquisition and now has three sites strategically located in Doncaster, Nottingham, Stockport, Cardiff, and Glossop.

Throughout the company's development the core element that runs through the entire business is first class customer service. This exists at all levels of the business and this is still as important now, as when it first started. Part of the APC parcel network and TPN & UPN pallet networks.

The company are growing, and they have a great opportunity for the right person in the role of Business Development Manager, based at their Doncaster depot, reporting to the Commercial Director.

You will be an energetic and self-motivated individual with great interpersonal skills to sell both parcel and pallet services over the phone and face to face.

Your roles and responsibilities will be ;

To maximise sales revenue and profitability and you will be responsible for gaining new business clients and also ensuring existing customers business is retained and developed by:

Working with sales co-ordinators and other sources to identify qualified prospects for new business

  •  Reporting on pipeline progress and sales forecasting via CRM system
  • Achieving maximum sales targets in your area in line with company pricing policy and strategy whilst ensuring that revenue and profitability objectives are achieved
  •  Regular liaison with the Commercial Director to review, discuss existing trading and prospects
  • Carry out price reviews and contract negotiations within your designated area
  •  Work alongside other functional departments to optimise the customer experience

You will have experience in;
  • Field sales and telesales experience within the logistics parcel and pallet industry is essential.
  • Proven track record of maximising sales and profitability
  • Experience of using CRM systems
  • Clean current and full UK driving licence
