Job Summary:

The Class 2 Almmi Hiab Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a Hiab-equipped vehicle to transport and deliver goods to various locations. This role involves loading and unloading materials using the Hiab crane, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate Hiab Crane: Safely operate the Hiab crane to load and unload materials, ensuring secure and balanced loads.

Driving Duties: Drive a Class 2 vehicle to transport goods to specified locations, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.

Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct daily vehicle checks and maintenance to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.

Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment, including the proper use of PPE.

Customer Interaction: Provide professional and courteous service to clients, ensuring timely deliveries and addressing any issues that may arise.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, and any incidents or accidents.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with the logistics team to coordinate deliveries and ensure efficient route planning.

Qualifications:

Licenses: Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving license.

Hiab Certification: Certified to operate a Hiab crane (Almmi Hiab experience required).

Experience: Minimum of 6 months of experience as a Class 2 driver with Hiab crane operation.

Knowledge: Strong understanding of load securing, weight distribution, and safe crane operation.

Skills: Excellent driving skills, good communication, and customer service skills.

Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and manoeuvring heavy loads.

Safety Awareness: Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations related to driving and crane operation.
