Travel Consultants required with experience in travel and working in a call centre environment, essential. This is a fantastic opportunity to experience different destinations and culture whilst, broadening your travel knowledge and experience.
Arranging all aspects of the customer's holiday including, flights, accommodation, packages, and ancillaries using various travel/booking systems to process holidays.
Be a subject matter expert in travel and offer exceptional customer service at all times.
Deliver sales, service and productivity targets in line with the guidelines set by the operations department.
Have the ability to comprehend, capture as well as interpret customer information ensuring you take ownership of the full customer journey experience by following through with all commitments.
Identify and match the holiday experience required by the customer and to arrange all aspects of the holiday including flights, hotels, packages and ancillaries.
Promote all products and services to maximise sales opportunities, and seek ways to up-sell and cross-sell where appropriate
Advising clients on travel arrangements, e.g. visas and passports
Providing advice on locations, prices, availability etc.
Collecting and processing payments
Making holiday amendments to existing bookings
Dealing with administration requests, complaints and refunds
Providing an exceptional level of customer service at all times
Skills & Experience requirements
The ability to quickly build rapport through excellent verbal communication skills, using questioning and listening skills to draw out additional information from the customer
Accurate typing skills with the ability to create grammatically correct invoices and documentation without any data errors
Ability to work under pressure in a targeted sales environment with the ability to be quick and resourceful in searching for a range of different options for the customer
Possess first class influencing skills
Ability to use multi-application software and reservations systems with the ability to use internet search tools and browsers. Ability to adapt to using in house systems
Well organised and able to prioritise workload in a busy fast paced working environment
Have a real interest in travel and be able to respond to pressures positively by putting in extra effort
A sound knowledge of telephone etiquette posing a professional Phone Manner
Ability to work well as part of a team - to exhibit objectivity and be open-minded towards the ideas and views of others, give as well as welcome feedback, contribute to building team spirit, aid others to succeed
Exceptional Geographical Knowledge
Knowledge of TravelCat, Travel Connect, Galileo (Focal Point)
Training and Development
The client will offer a comprehensive training academy which involves:
Customer service training
Shifts - Full/Part-Time (evenings)
Travel Consultants are required to work on a shift rotation during the following contact centre operating hours:
08:00-20:30 Monday - Friday
08:00-18:00 Weekends & Bank Holidays
Please note that No holidays are permitted during the training period (6 weeks) - if part time must be able to commit to full time training for first 3 weeks.
