Pertemps Recruitment on behalf of Buckingham County Council has an opportunity for two Resourcing Consultants within the Resourcing team. You will be responsible for delivering resourcing solutions and meeting service needs for both permanent and flexible resources, social networking through relevant contacts and companies in the market, and collaborating with team colleagues to deliver customer service excellence.

This is a temporary role up to April 2020 but there is potential for this role to be extended or made permanent. The pay rate for this role is £20.33 per hour and you will be working full time, 37 hours per week from 9am to 5:30pm Monday to Thursday and from 9am to 5pm on Fridays


Applying functional knowledge, experience and judgement, providing "value-added" resourcing solutions and/or consultancy
Delivering cost effective and timely resourcing support and advice to the Council
Meeting recruitment performance targets e.g. by volume, on time and on budget or time and cost to hire, etc.
Project Managing recruitment campaigns
Creating opportunities to promote and develop the "in-house" resourcing service
Proactively sourcing candidates through Linked-in and other social media sources where appropriate
Utilising a number of groups and forums to identify niche talent in the market
The use of market mapping principles to find target passive candidates using a number of complex sourcing channels
Search databases and job board systems for potential talent.
Undertake research utilising search engines and available tools

Essential Skills and Experience

Relevant professional qualification
Experience of running recruitment campaigns using media sourcing channels and using head hunting techniques to attract passive candidates
Good knowledge & understanding of Resourcing and how it fits with the HR offer including process development, skills analysis, related technologies e.g. CMS or ATS, and policy review and compliance
Understanding of current developments in Resourcing, Recruitment and Retention, recognising relevance to BCC's forward plan
Building sound relationships and engaging successfully with colleagues, partners and customers
Managing commercial relationships and delivering a service through or in conjunction with a third party
Proven influencing and negotiating skills to e.g. enhance Resourcing service delivery
A sound track record of managing budgets and resources, including partners, third parties and revenue streams
Proven ability to apply sound judgement to solve problems or make decisions
Significant experience of producing short or medium term plans which satisfy longer term resourcing objectives
Proven business, people and change management experience
Good project management skills and an understanding of relevant methodologies
Excellent ICT skills including use of Microsoft applications and specialist systems e.g. SAP HR or CMS/ATS
