Professional medical clinic which provides specialist Lasik treatment is seeking a passionate Patient Care Coordinator to support them at their prestigious in Marylebone.

Job Essence

The purpose of this role is for all patients to have a coordinator that can help them and follow them through their journey from first contact to continuing aftercare. The primary goals of the Patient Care Coordinators are to reach their booking targets and at the same time delivery outstanding patient care.

The main duties of the Patient Care Coordinator will include:

  • To meet with the patients at their initial consultation and guide them through their first visits and making them aware that you will be their contact person if they have any queries in the future
  • To book surgical appointments and consultations
  • To invoice patients for deposits and surgery balances
  • Ensure all the client's needs are met while visiting the practice
  • To arrange for glasses to be made up for patients
  • Taking enquiries from patients about possible surgeries
  • To update all records on the patient database as appropriate
  • To play an active part in the maintenance of a supportive learning environment within the clinic
  • To complete the end of day administration
  • To hit monthly targets, with warm leads generated through incoming enquiries

The ideal Patient Care Coordinator will have the following:
  • The ability to be self-motivated
  •  The ability to manage challenges and understand the fundamentals of consumer behaviour
  • The ability to set personal goals above prescribed goals
  • The ability to deal with high stress environments in a pro-active manner
  • Empathy for patients in clinic
  • The ability to differentiate between important and urgent tasks, and prioritise and complete multiple tasks
  • Good time management
  • The need to demonstrate flexibility, including duties, hours of work, breaks, working conditions, working with  team members, protocols and procedures, updates in knowledge etc
  • An openness to change, grow, and take on greater levels of responsibility and performance
  • The ability to communicate and interact effectively, calmly and compassionately, during various points of contact with patients and colleagues alike
  • You will need to be flexible and accommodating
  • Desirable knowledgeable about the Clinic
  • You will need to know what the clinic can offer the client in any number of special circumstances
  • You will need to provide all the information that the client requires to enjoy their visit to the clinic

Working Hours

42 hours a week including a 1 hour lunch break. Shifts are typically 08:00-16:30, 08:30-17:00, 9:00-17:30 and 09:30-18:00.
**The job would be Monday-Friday in the first 3 months with a view to working every Saturday after this with a day off in the week**

Salary:
Base salary £26k - with commission this would be £38k+ upon reaching targets
