Social Worker - Children Support and Safeguarding

As a Children's Safeguarding Social Worker, you will play a critical role in protecting and promoting the welfare of children and young people. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing interventions to safeguard children and support families in crisis. Your work will involve collaboration with various professionals and agencies to ensure the best outcomes for the children in your care.
Brief Duties / Key Responsibilities
Undertake comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify risk, need, and vulnerability. Develop, implement, and review effective intervention and safeguarding plans to promote positive outcomes.
Manage and reduce risk to children through timely safeguarding actions and care planning. Provide support, guidance, and advocacy to children and families, ensuring the child's voice remains central to decision-making.
Work in partnership with multi-agency professionals including health, education, police, and other safeguarding services. Monitor child welfare and progress, ensuring statutory duties and safeguarding responsibilities are met.
Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality case recordings, assessments, and reports.
Participate in strategy discussions, child protection conferences, core groups, and court proceedings where required.
Promote the safety, wellbeing, and long-term stability of children and young people.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and safeguarding procedures.
