HGV CLASS 1 SHUNTER

We require Day & Night Shunters in Thirsk
A busy logistics operation based in Thirsk is looking for Shunters to join the team on an ongoing basis. This role offers steady work with a range of shift patterns, including weekends, and full training can be provided if needed.
The site runs a fast-paced distribution operation and focuses on safety and efficiency. We’re looking for reliable and experienced shunters who are also happy to be flexible, as you may occasionally be required to go out on the road.
As a Shunter, your duties will include:

• Shunting trailers to and from loading bays
• Making sure trailers are positioned safely and correctly
• Carrying out basic vehicle and trailer safety checks
• Communicating with the transport office and warehouse team
• Following all site safety procedures at all times
• Occasionally going out on the road if required

Shift details:

• Day shifts and night shifts available
• Multiple shift patterns available, including weekends
• Flexibility is required

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Valid HGV Class C or C+E licence
• Valid CPC and Digi Card
• Previous shunting experience preferred
• Good understanding of site safety and operations
• No more than 6 points on your licence

In return, you will receive:

• £14.83 per hour (days)
• £16.38 per hour (nights)
• £19.00 per hour (Saturday)
• £23.00 per hour (Sunday)
• Ongoing, regular work
• Weekly pay
