Pertemps are working alongside a co educational Secondary School & Sixth Form in Harlow, and we are looking for an experienced or developing SENco to join the schools team on an immediate or September basis. 

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and inclusive teacher to join one of West Essex's developing Secondary School and Sixth Forms. As the SENCO you will work closely with the Leadership Team in managing the school’s systems for Special Educational and Additional Learning Needs.

You will oversee the function of the Learning Support Department at this school, and liaise closely with Heads of Years and Pastoral Mangement as part of their systems for response and intervention. You will support their staff in their awareness and understanding of student needs and inclusive approaches to teaching and learning and work with external services and specialists, as well as oversee screening processes and manage the school’s SEN and ALN register.

This post also requires you to be comfortable in managing the important role of communicating with families, to share and support an understanding, set meaningful targets for joint-working and review plans and provision for student support.

Pertemps Ideal Candidate:

• SENco qualification or working towards
• PGCE / QTS background 
• Understanding of Therapy or Intervention based management and delegation 
• Available ASAP or in September 2024
