Hours: 07:00 – 16:00 / Early finish Friday
Salary: £14.00 - £17.00 per hour
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
We are currently seeking a skilled Wood Machinist with extensive Carpentry skills to join our client on a Temporary to Permanent basis. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with woodworking machinery and carpentry techniques, producing high-quality work to specification.
The duties of a Wood Machinist:
- Operating woodworking machinery including spindle moulders.
- Skilled use of hand and power tools, including nail guns.
- Sanding, preparing, and finishing timber products.
- Hanging and fitting doors to a high standard.
- Working from technical drawings and following production schedules.
- Maintaining a safe and tidy workspace in line with health and safety procedures.
The requirements of a Wood Machinist:
- Proven woodworking or carpentry skills.
- Experience operating a spindle moulder and other woodworking equipment.
- Confident in the use of a nail gun and sanding equipment.
- Ability to hinge and hang doors accurately.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
