This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established, UK-based engineering company working on high-impact industrial projects across the country. This is a frontline leadership role with career progression built in.
The Role
As an On-site Team Leader, you’ll supervise small teams on live industrial sites, ensuring installations are delivered safely, to specification, and on time. You’ll remain hands-on, supporting the team with fitting, lining (rubber, ceramic, or steel), and fabrication tasks — while also acting as the key site contact. When not on site, you’ll assist with operations in the Kidderminster-based workshop.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and work with small teams on mechanical site installations
- Supervise fitting, lining, and fabrication work
- Conduct daily briefs and ensure team compliance with site targets and safety
- Monitor PPE, equipment, and site documentation
- Work closely with the Production and Project Managers to coordinate resources
- Promote a safety-first culture and represent the brand to clients
- Identify any non-conforming materials or work and report accordingly
- Support team development and training
Requirements:
- Hands-on mechanical fitting or site experience (shutdowns, industrial installs, etc.)
- Site leadership or team lead experience
- Experience with wear linings, fitting, or steel fabrication
- Valid Safety Passport (ECITB or equivalent)
- Able to read engineering drawings
- Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
Desirable:
- Certifications: Slinger/Signaller, Lift Supervisor, MEWP, Telehandler
- Welding or fabrication background
- Supervisor experience in site services or off-site manufacture
