Are you a Psychology graduate, SEN Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant looking to build valuable experience supporting children with Autism and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
A welcoming primary school in Lambeth is seeking a dedicated, patient and resilient Learning Support Assistant to join its supportive SEN team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Psychology graduate or experienced support professional looking to develop their knowledge and experience within autism, SEMH, behaviour and child development.
The RoleYou will provide targeted support to pupils who require additional assistance with their learning, communication, behaviour and emotional regulation.
Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider pastoral team, you will provide 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils to engage positively with school and develop greater confidence and independence.

- Using appropriate strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
- Encouraging communication, social interaction and independence.
- Adapting learning activities to meet individual needs.
- Supporting pupils who may display challenging or dysregulated behaviour.
- Following individual support plans and behaviour strategies.
- Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and pastoral team.
