    • Support the development of communication, social interaction and emotional regulation skills.
    • Implement structured learning activities and interventions to encourage engagement and independence.
    • Provide consistent, positive support for pupils who may display challenging behaviour or experience sensory and communication difficulties.
    • Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO and wider multidisciplinary team to support individual pupil development.
    • Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment where every child can reach their potential.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • A Psychology graduate or graduate in a related discipline, such as Child Development, Education or Speech and Language.
    • A genuine interest in autism, neurodevelopment and special educational needs.
    • Previous experience working with children with autism or additional needs would be advantageous.
    • An understanding of social communication, sensory processing and emotional regulation.
    • Patient, empathetic and resilient, with the ability to build meaningful relationships with children.
    • A proactive and adaptable individual who can respond positively to the varying needs of pupils.
    • An aspiring Educational Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Child Psychologist or SEN Teacher looking to gain valuable school-based experience.
Why Apply?
  • Gain valuable practical experience within a primary school specialist Autism Provision.
    • Develop your understanding of autism, ADHD and complex learning needs.
    • Work alongside experienced SEN teachers and specialist support professionals.
    • Build relevant experience for a future career in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology or specialist education.
    • Make a genuine difference to the educational and personal development of children with additional needs.
