The Electrical Panel Wirer / Electrical Assembler roles are critical, based within an expanding Engineering division of Royal Mail. Their responsibility is to wire control panels to the electrical specification diagrams. They will be expected to build control panels from scratch, including mounting trunking, DIN rail and electrical components. as wellas Be able to follow electrical diagrams and use ferrules, heat shrink and cable markings as to circuit diagram schematics.
The role is best suited to an individual who has very practical, hands-on experience building electrical panels and is familiar with wiring motors, power supplies, PLCs and other electrical components.
Working Hours: 8am-4.30pm
- Drive a culture of safety within the manufacturing environment.
- Responsible for the productivity (OPR) of their control panels in line with the production schedule
- Able to follow test scripts to identify and correct defects produced and rework these.
- Be a team player and work closely with your fellow Electrical panel wirers
- Electrical Control Panel construction and testing
- Ability to demonstrate tangible performance improvements through reading and following the plan, introducing, and managing process improvement initiatives, influencing across all levels of the business.
- Problem solving – proven problem analysis & problem-solving capabilities using advanced problem-solving tools and route cause analysis.
