⏰ Mon–Thu 07:45–16:30 · Fri 07:30–13:30
💼 Full-time, temp to perm contract
💰 £13.50 - £15.50 per hour
We’re looking for an experienced production setter to complete set-ups and changeovers on manufacturing equipment (e.g., presses/CNC/finishing lines), run first-off checks, adjust parameters and hand over to operators for steady-state production.
Key Responsibilities
- Fit tooling/fixtures and load programmes where applicable
- Complete first-off and in-process quality checks; make adjustments
- Fault-find minor issues; support operators during start-up
- Record set-ups and maintain safe start-up/shut-down routines and 5S
- Proven setting experience on presses/CNC/production lines
- Able to read engineering drawings; competent with calipers/micrometers
- Strong safety and quality discipline; clear communication across shifts
- Methodical, organised and responsive to production priorities
- Weekday pattern with a guaranteed early Friday finish
- On-the-job support and clear quality standards
