Job Description
Location: Wokingham Borough Council
Pay Rate: £36.91 per hour
Contract Type: Locum (Full-time) Hybrid working
Pertemps Social Care is looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join Wokingham Borough Council on a locum basis. This role is focused on supporting the management of the OT waiting list and delivering high-quality, person-centred assessments and interventions across the adult social care service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting functional OT assessments
- Completing moving and handling assessments
- Supporting with reablement and reduced care reviews
- Advising on and facilitating minor adaptations
- Demonstrating knowledge and experience of the Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) process
- HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
- Proven experience in adult social care settings
- Strong assessment and report-writing skills
- Ability to manage a caseload independently
- Experience with reablement, manual handling, and home adaptations
