Occupational Therapist – Tower Hamlets Council
Rate of pay: £39.81 per hour
Working arrangements: Full time / Hybrid working

experienced Community Occupational Therapist to join the
Integrated North East Locality Team at Tower Hamlets Council. This is a fantastic opportunity for an OT who is passionate about supporting adults in the community to achieve independence and improve their quality of life.
About the role: As part of this busy and supportive team, you will carry out assessments and interventions for adults with a wide range of needs. A key part of the role will involve providing expert advice and solutions around
complex manual handling and
optimal care techniques, ensuring safe and effective support for service users and carers. You will also be heavily involved in recommending and arranging
housing adaptations to help people remain safe and independent in their own homes.
You will be expected to work collaboratively with health and social care colleagues, contributing to care planning and providing professional guidance to ensure positive outcomes for individuals and families.
What we’re looking for:- At least 2 years’ post-qualification experience as an Occupational Therapist
- Confidence and proven ability in complex manual handling
- Knowledge of optimal care techniques and how to apply them in practice
- Strong background in housing adaptations assessments and recommendations
- Excellent communication and team-working skills to work within an integrated service
- A proactive, person-centred approach to practice
