Tower Hamlets Council in recruiting an 
Occupational Therapist to join the 
Assessment Cluster within Adult Social Care’s Initial Assessment Team.
 This is a fantastic opportunity to work 
on the front line of adult social care, supporting residents who do not yet have a statutory service in place. You will have a 
varied and rewarding caseload, working closely with adults in the community. 
🔹 
Key Responsibilities:- Undertake functional and Care Act assessments for adult residents.
- Assess needs around bathing, manual handling, equipment, and minor adaptations.
- Refer major adaptations to the long-term teams.
- Carry out community visits, supporting adults to remain independent in their homes.
- Work as part of a fast-paced team of 10 OTs, with strong support and guidance from OT managers.
- Contribute to maintaining high-quality, person-centred care in line with statutory requirements.
💡 
About You:- Qualified and registered Occupational Therapist.
- Experience in adult social care, community OT, or reablement services.
- Confident in undertaking assessments in the community.
- Strong communication, organisational, and multi-disciplinary team-working skills.
