Specialism: Children’s Occupational Therapy (Community – Home Assessments & Equipment)
Job Location: Lambeth
Pay Rate: £34.45 per hour
Hours: 35 hours per week
Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Locum Band 6 Community Occupational Therapist to join the Lambeth Children’s Occupational Therapy service. The successful candidate will carry out home assessments and reviews for children and young people with functional needs within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive home assessments and follow-up reviews.
- Assess for and review specialist seating, postural management equipment, and other home-based equipment.
- Complete assessments and provide recommendations for major home adaptations, including environmental modifications to support safety and independence.
- Work collaboratively with families, carers, equipment services, and housing/adaptation teams.
- Maintain accurate documentation in line with professional and service standards.
- HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist.
- Experience working with children in a community setting.
- Strong skills in specialist seating, equipment assessment, and home adaptation recommendations.
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.
