Location: South East England
Rate: £38 per hour
Contract: Full-time Locum
Working Pattern: Hybrid

Pertemps are recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to join a Children in Care Team within a local authority in South East England.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with children and young people under the age of 16, supporting them to achieve positive outcomes through effective care planning, safeguarding, and partnership working.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of children in care aged under 16.
• Complete statutory visits, assessments, and care planning.
• Work closely with children, families, carers, and partner agencies.
• Prepare reports and attend court where required.
• Ensure all statutory responsibilities are met in line with legislation and local procedures.

Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
• Previous experience within a Children in Care/Looked After Children Team.
• Strong assessment, safeguarding, and care planning experience.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.
