Children’s Social Worker – Family Safeguarding

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Children’s Social Worker to join a Family Safeguarding Team in Hertfordshire.
You will be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the health and wellbeing of children and young people, while supporting families and carers to achieve positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload appropriate to your experience, skills and knowledge
• Undertake assessments, planning, reviews and ongoing risk assessments
• Develop and review multi-disciplinary plans
• Work directly with children, young people, families and partner agencies
• Maintain accurate case records and high professional standards
• Prepare high-quality court reports within required timescales
• Represent the Council at court and provide evidence when required
• Work collaboratively with families to promote independence and improve outcomes

Requirements:

• Social Work England registration
• Experience working within Children’s Social Care
• Family Safeguarding experience is desirable
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, assessment and care planning
• Experience of court work and preparing court reports
• Must be able to travel across Hertfordshire
• MUST be a car driver with access to your own vehicle
