Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term
Pay Rate: £90 – £110 per day (depending on experience)
About the Role: We are recruiting for a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist PMLD school in North Kent. You’ll be part of a collaborative team supporting children with complex learning and physical needs in a caring, structured environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with profound learning needs.
- Support personal care, feeding, and mobility as required.
- Help implement EHCP targets and therapy plans.
- Encourage communication and sensory engagement.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure consistent care.
- Previous experience working with PMLD or complex SEN.
- Nurturing and patient personality.
- Confident supporting with personal and physical care.
- Knowledge of Makaton, PECs, or sensory integration (desirable).
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
- Supportive senior leadership and training opportunities.
- Long-term role with potential to go permanent.
