Salary: £100 to £120 per day (depending on experience)

We are working with a Secondary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) seeking a confident and proactive
Teaching Assistant to join their team. The school supports students aged 11–16 who have faced barriers in mainstream education and benefit from smaller class sizes and tailored support.
Key Responsibilities:- Support students during lessons, promoting positive engagement and behaviour.
- Build trusted relationships with pupils, acting as a positive role model.
- De-escalate challenging behaviour using restorative and trauma-informed approaches.
- Work closely with teachers, behaviour leads, and external agencies.
- Assist with academic work and social development on both a 1:1 and small-group basis.
What We’re Looking For:- Previous experience working in a PRU, SEMH, or behaviour-focused setting (essential).
- Strong behaviour management skills and ability to remain calm and consistent.
- Resilience, patience, and a genuine desire to help students succeed.
- Team player with excellent communication skills.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).
