Visiting Officer (Housing), North London / Hertfordshire 
Pay rate £24.75 per hour 
Contract role, Local Authority Housing 
 
Pertemps are recruiting for an experienced Visiting Officer in the North London / Hertfordshire area. 

• Join Enfield’s Financial Assessment / Income and Debt Team as a Visiting Officer. 

• This role spans two services, offering a variety of tasks including: - Inspecting empty or altered properties - Conducting residency checks and assessment visits - Assisting housebound or vulnerable customers without support - Collecting income-related data and other council reductions  

• As a Visiting Officer, you'll provide a high-quality, professional service across the Assessment Hub, following standard procedures with minimal supervision. Access to your own vehicle is essential, and travel expenses will be covered.  

• All visits are local to Enfield, and you'll need to produce detailed reports.  

**Requirements:** -  

• Experience in providing a visiting service - Adaptability and willingness to work across different hubs - Strong communication skills for explaining complex matters -  

• Good IT and technical skills - Commitment to continuous professional development  

**Essential Knowledge:** -  

• Understanding of collection, income-related assessments, and benefit services -  

• Knowledge of best practices in income collection and assessment within a local authority -Familiarity with welfare benefits and value for money principles
