We are recruiting for experienced Adult’s Social Worker in the Salford area.

Advanced Social Work Practitioners Wanted – Join Salford Front Door Services

To support this ambitious programme and continue delivering high-quality services for our residents, we are looking for experienced and motivated Advanced Social Work Practitioners to join our Front Door Services. 
This is an exciting opportunity to work across both our: 
  • Early Help Team 
  • Safeguarding Team 
Working across both Early Help and Safeguarding, you will be instrumental in providing timely, proportionate interventions that promote independence and wellbeing. Using a strengths-based approach, you will support adults to delay, reduce, or prevent the need for ongoing formal services, while ensuring people remain safe, empowered, and at the centre of decision-making, achieving the outcomes that are most important to them. 
About the Role 
As an Advanced Social Work Practitioner, you will provide professional leadership within the team, supporting high-quality strengths-based practice while ensuring statutory responsibilities are met. 
You will undertake complex assessments, support safeguarding enquiries, and work collaboratively with health and social care partners to deliver person-centred interventions. Alongside casework responsibilities, you will support the development of less experienced practitioners and assist the Team Manager in driving service improvement and practice excellence. 
This role offers the opportunity to work across both Early Help and Safeguarding, providing a varied and rewarding experience at the front door of Adult Social Care. 
Key Responsibilities 
  • Undertake complex Care Act assessments, reviews, and safeguarding enquiries. 
  • Support the delivery of strengths-based, person-centred interventions that promote independence and wellbeing. 
  • Provide professional advice, guidance, and mentoring to less experienced staff members. 
  • Complete supervision with allocated practitioners to support professional development and quality practice. 
  • Undertake case audits and case sign-off responsibilities to ensure safe and effective decision-making. 
  • Support quality assurance activity and contribute to service improvement initiatives. 
  • Assist the Team Manager with the day-to-day operation of the service, including work prioritisation and duty functions. 
  • Support performance management and practice development within the team. 
  • Work collaboratively with individuals, carers, families, communities, and partner agencies. 
  • Promote preventative approaches and early intervention wherever appropriate. 
  • Contribute to the continued development of integrated working across health and social care.

What We're Looking For 
  • We are seeking experienced and confident practitioners who: 
  • Are qualified and registered Social Workers with substantial post-qualification experience. 
  • Have experience working with complex cases within Adult Social Care. 
  • Demonstrate excellent knowledge of the Care Act 2014, safeguarding legislation, and associated statutory guidance. 
  • Are passionate about strengths-based and person-centred practice. 
  • Have experience supporting, coaching, or mentoring colleagues. 
  • Are confident in providing professional challenge and making defensible decisions. 
  • Thrive in integrated multi-agency environments. 
  • Can support the Team Manager in maintaining high standards of practice and performance. 
  • Are committed to achieving positive outcomes for adults and their families.

  • Contract -12 months 
  • Hours 08:30 - 16:30 Monday to Friday
