Graduate Quantity Surveyor

MEP contractor who have been operating since the 1970’s specialising in the design and delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing & Heating services across various sectors of the Construction industry including residential, education and student accommodation, retail and commercial, retirement living and care homes. 

With a company Turnover of around £29mil, they employ about 40 staff.

THE ROLE – GRADUATE M&E QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Working Hours:

Monday to Thursday 8am – 5p.m
Friday 8am – 4.45pm

My client are looking to recruit a Graduate M&E Quantity Surveyor.

Site Based Role


The role will involve assisting a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager in carrying out their day to day activities including duties such as:

• Contract administration
• Subcontract and material procurement
• Contract / subcontractor negotiation
• Cost value reconciliation
• Processing and agreeing client and subcontractor monthly valuations and final accounts.

 
As part of their training the candidate will also spend time in other departments including Estimating, Production and Buying in order to gain a valuable understanding of the company’s overall delivery.

The ideal applicants will be a highly motivated and reliable with good analytical and communication skills, along with a keen eye for detail.

SALARY & PACKAGE

£25,000 - £28,000 (inclusive of travel expenses)
