I’m currently working with a well-established, independent structural engineering consultancy that is looking to appoint a Graduate Structural Engineer with 1–2 years of consultancy experience to join their head office in Sheffield.

This practice has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, practical engineering solutions across a diverse range of projects. Their work spans residential, commercial, education, healthcare, and mixed-use developments, including both new-build and refurbishment schemes. You’ll gain exposure to projects from early concept design through to construction, often working closely with architects, developers, and contractors.

The role
As a Graduate Structural Engineer, you’ll be involved in the analysis and design of structures using concrete, steel, masonry, and timber. You’ll support senior engineers in producing calculations, drawings, and technical reports, attend project meetings, and carry out site visits. Key requirements

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 1–2 years’ experience working in a UK structural engineering consultancy
• Familiarity with UK design codes and standards
• Experience using structural analysis/design software
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to learning
