PE Teacher - SEND

SEND PE Teacher – Secondary – South Birmingham
Are you a qualified PE Teacher who has experience teaching children with special educational needs? Do you enjoy seeing students overcome barriers to learning and engage with physical activities? This dynamic SEND school is looking to add a SEND PE Teacher to the team to teach PE to classes across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 with a range of special educational needs, including Autism, Complex Needs, MLD, and physical disabilities.

As a PE Teacher at this school, you will be given the freedom to plan and deliver lessons to meet the needs of individual children, and will be teaching small classes of 4-7 children, supported by Teaching Assistants. This is an excellent long-term opportunity for a PE Teacher who has previous experience teaching within special educational needs, or a PE Teacher who is looking to gain experience in a SEND setting. This role requires qualified teacher status.
Job Role:

• Teaching Physical Education lessons to small classes of students with special educational needs.
• Planning and delivering lessons that are tailored to individual needs of students.
• Collaborating with the class teacher and teaching assistants to support students.
• Understanding a range of special educational needs, including Autism, MLD, Complex Needs, and physical disabilities.
