This rewarding role involves teaching small classes of no more than 6 pupils with a range of complex learning needs and physical disabilities. As a Complex Needs Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons that enable every child to access learning and make progress. You will be supported by a team of experienced teaching assistants, ensuring pupils receive the individual care and attention they require. The school places a strong emphasis on providing a nurturing environment where children can develop academically, socially, and emotionally.

Responsibilities include:

• Teaching primary-aged pupils with complex needs and physical disabilities.
• Planning creative differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Working closely with experienced teaching assistants to deliver outstanding support.
• Creating a safe, stimulating, and supportive classroom environment.
• Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and external agencies.
• Promoting independence, communication, and social skills.

The ideal candidate will have:

• QTS and experience teaching pupils with SEND.
• Knowledge of strategies to support pupils with complex needs.
• A creative, flexible approach to planning and teaching.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for pupils with special educational needs.
