Key Stage 4 Teacher – SEND School
Birmingham MPS 1 -MPS 6
SEND Teacher required to teach a small Key Stage 4 class with ASC, MLD, and other additional learning needs. If you are a dedicated teacher looking for a rewarding Key Stage 4 role within an outstanding SEND setting, look no further! Do you want to support students with additional needs at a crucial stage in their education? This welcoming SEND school is looking to appoint a committed Key Stage 4 Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis.
As a Key Stage 4 Teacher, you will work with small classes of students with a range of special educational needs, delivering a personalised curriculum that supports both academic progress and life skills development. You will create a structured, supportive and engaging classroom environment where students can build confidence, develop independence and work towards meaningful outcomes.
The school offers a collaborative and nurturing environment with strong leadership and experienced support staff, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality teaching tailored to individual needs. This role would suit a patient, adaptable and enthusiastic teacher with strong subject knowledge and a genuine interest in supporting students with SEND. Previous SEND experience is desirable but not essential. QTS is required.

Job Role:
- Teaching small Key Stage 4 classes of students with SEND
- Planning and delivering differentiated and personalised lessons
- Supporting students’ academic progress and life skills development
- Creating a structured and inclusive learning environment
- Working closely with Teaching Assistants and support staff
- Supporting communication, independence and confidence
- Assessing, monitoring and recording student progress
- Contributing to EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
- Secure a permanent role in a supportive SEND school
- Teach small classes with strong staff-to-pupil ratios
- Work within a collaborative and experienced staff team
- Receive ongoing support from leadership and colleagues
- Be paid to scale in line with experience up to MPS6
- Develop your SEND teaching expertise
