Teaching Assistant – 1-2-1 Support (Alternative Provision)
Are you a patient and empathetic Teaching Assistant looking to support a young person who needs additional encouragement to engage with education? Do you have the confidence to build strong relationships and support students with anxiety? This alternative provision in South Birmingham is looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1-2-1 support for a female secondary student.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a student who experiences anxiety and finds it difficult to engage in lessons. Your role will focus on building trust, providing consistent support and helping her feel safe and confident within the school environment. You will support her both in and out of the classroom, helping her access learning at a pace that suits her needs.
This role requires someone who is calm, understanding and able to adapt their approach to support emotional wellbeing as well as academic engagement. Previous experience supporting students with SEMH needs, anxiety or barriers to learning is highly desirable. This role requires previous experience working with young people.
