English Teacher – Alternative Provision – Dudley

The school provides a nurturing and structured environment for students who may have struggled within mainstream education. As an English Teacher, you will deliver engaging and accessible lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, adapting your teaching to meet the needs of individual learners. - Teach English to small classes of Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
- Support students who may have SEMH needs and barriers to learning
- Prepare students for GCSE English where appropriate
- Build positive and trusting relationships with students
- Manage behaviour effectively and consistently
- Monitor progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs
- Work collaboratively with pastoral and support teams
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching English at secondary level
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- The ability to engage students who may have become disengaged from education
- A patient, resilient and positive approach
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
