Trainee HIU Engineer – London – 34K

My client are a heating and metering business based in London with over 800 units in London under there management, all HIU service Maintenance and Breakdown works. They have an exciting role in which they are looking for plumbers that are actively seeking to get into HIU works. The company are looking to offer a good development programme and keep candidate invested.

They also do the metering and billing so it’s a great opportunity for someone to learn that side of the business. The ideal candidate would have their level 2 NVQ in plumbing & heating and they are also open to HIU engineers that are looking for more opportunity to porgress.

DUTIES:

Breakdowns, commissions and fault finding on pre-payment systems including Guru, sav kurve and Liberty connect 100.

Installing pre-payment systems and setting on the Head end system  ( training provided)

Diagnose and repair heat meters within the HIU

Full retro fits on existing properties - cutting in pre-payment valves on district return pipework , installing new heat meters within the HIU and cutting in water meters on the BCWS ensuring all is readable within the guru or secure meters

Attending breakdowns, repairs and services of many HIU models

Assisting minor plant room works - Intending to fully train in energy centres and plant rooms to complete end to end diagnostics and repairs of communal/district heating systems

PACKAGE

• £32,000 – 34,000 base salary up to £37.425k per annum inclusive of travel time and depending on knowledge & experience.
• 37.5 hour working week.
